Yep. They build up in your body your whole life, but chances are they won't reach a dangerous level before you die. If you start eating human nervous tissue on the other hand you might be in trouble. Same goes for nervous tissue from animals which have a partially carnivorous diet, such as cattle being fed beef offal. That's how BSE happened.
