Think about the privacy issues and potential fines. Then think how they will use this to restrict movement. They already passed a requirement (kbb.com) for cars to have technology to detect drunken driving and disable the vehicle. If you think they won't use these two together and restrict movement you have to be very poor at critical thinking. It is all coming together.

Here's the thing though. People will immediately stop buying ford products. Problem solved.

Not when the government eventually makes all these features mandatory.

So you're saying I should start stocking up on pre 2010 or so cars. Then I can sell them off and get RICH !!!!

Until the fed requires this as a "safety feature" don't get me wrong. I hate fuck heads that think they are safe driving 85 in a 40 but this is still some bullshit I can't get behind.

Oh, also, every Ford (and most mother brands) sold after ~2018 already has this tech. You just didn't read the fine print.

There is no fine print for me to read, all my shit is old and cool.

I drive a 20 year old vehicle for a reason. The only tech in it is what I personally installed and have full control over.
