Agreed: Brown bears don't like being barked at by dogs, they usually just leave. Probably the only reason she-bear took a swipe at the dog was because of the cubs. Unlike grizzlies, brown bears don't really consider dogs or humans to be on their menu, and fatalities are very rare.
