as a child at 12 did not know this till later that day. I went under a huge pine tree when it started raining hard and I was sitting down and a lightening bolt hit a tree 50ft away. I didn't realize that you could feel the electricity so well when that much voltage is released 50ft away. Heck back then I was oblivious to the fact that electricity could jump and fork. That close you can also feel some heat and a blastwave the same as if your closer than normal when the fireworks explode and that is the thing that sets the survival instinct to, this is a bad area to be right now.
lightening
The White man's version of 'amber lamps'.
God hates em.
Actually that was nerve gas.
Didnt they teach you in school not to stand under a tree during a lightning storm?
Teach you in school??
I mean i guess i had teachers with common sense then
Did you see the story about the Baltimore kid with the .13 gpa being in the top half of his class passing only 3 classes in 4 years?
I was in a concrete building with rebar reinforcement when it got struck by lightning. Electricity arced between the steel sprinkler piping overhead. I was standing barefoot on the concrete floor. Do not recommend.
