Many headwinds faced by SI. Print media has been in decline for years. Conservatives were already walking away from sports and sports content. Then SI decided to piss on its core audience by promoting fats and men as swimsuit models. Come on... Was only a matter of time.
I don't think that this is the end of the magazine. After reading the article, it looks like these jews only starting writing the magazine in 2019, basically they were just licensing the brand. So, depending on your perspective, either the end happened years ago when the original company stopped writing it, or it hasn't happened yet because someone else is going to license the brand and publish it.
I'm sure you're right, but it may become online only with only a few special print editions a year.
