I was born in December (birthday yesterday actually). People used to tell me "oh, so sorry on all those presents you must have missed" To which I reply, "That's not the half of it. So was my brother, same day three years apart." True story. To her credit, my wife established the no skimping on presents rule. I've been getting all my presents ever since.
