Was there in the early seventies as a teenager when the ol’ man got stationed there. The Bader-Meinhoff Gang was on the loose bombing shit. Hash, heroin and LSD was pretty prevalent on the bases. I remember Turks being about the only foreigners besides the US soldiers and their families. You could feel there was a great change going on. I really didn’t at the time know what to make of it. There was this old Germany. Beautiful architecture and castles. Pastoral beauty. Mountain beauty. History embedded everywhere. Then there was this dark seedy side. This “new” Germany bubbling up from it all. It felt sinister and evil.

It breaks my heart what has happened to Germany. It’s disgusting. The bratwurst, pom fritz, milk bread and beer is all I remember as far as food.

Yep. Of course they were, though I didn’t know much about that sort of shit at the time. I was eating a loaf of milk bread one day for lunch when I heard a pipe bomb go off on the base. It was an ominous feeling. You can plainly see that same shit is going on here in the US today. Mother fuckers deserve everything they got coming.

I don't mind a good sausage, but the Italians do that better. I don't mind a good ham, but the Austrians do that better.

I just really can't think of a food that Germans do better than anyone else.

I try not to think about it, but i am pretty sad i didn't go to Europe years ago. Who would have imagined this was going to happen so quickly.

I have traveled a lot, but there are still places I would like to have seen someday. Without the jew juice injection, all that is now impossible.

I think that in the long run it will go to one extreme. A country will either be under full medical tyranny or none; I'm hoping some of the better countries will go the right way.
