My husband said to make oil, after havesting the sun flower seeds, you ground them up, add some lye and alchohol, than place in a still (not sure of spelling or amounts sorry)

What size of still do people generally use for that? I'd looked into buying a copper one to play with, but also saw where people make them out of old hot water heater tanks for stuff.

He uses 525 gallon still, looks like a steel drum on its side. He said hot water heaters work also, never use plastic
