She just couldn't handle him anymore. He made it through it, though. He hid out for those few years. I remember not seeing him a lot. Then one day, there he was out in his yard -nice as could be. He came to terms with it. He told me that he still feels pain in that arm even though it isn't there. Phantom pain.
