I never owned an Amiga back in the day, but I was always jealous of my friend who did. Defender of the Crown made me envious of the Amiga's superior graphics over the C-64 and Color Computer lineup I had. The other computers in the house were CP/M machines my Dad used for his business (Osbourne I, Kaypro II and Morrow MD-11) so no graphics there at all!
Kaypro II was the laptop portable one wasn't it?

Yes it was a suitcase luggable. The Osborne 1 was also a suitcase luggable with a much smaller CRT screen than the Kaypro. The Morrow MD-11 was a desktop and anything but luggable.

Oh Richie rich! Only those rich kids could afford amiga! We ran the Atari 2600 till it stopped working. I cold solider joint fixed it 20’years ago and it still works.
Dude, I member working summer jobs to save enough to buy an A500 with an extra 512Kb ram. Used it on a second hand CRT.
I painted an ENORMOUS fence (to a 12 year old, it went around a couple of acres of land) to get $200 to buy a Soundblaster Pro card just so I could hear some sounds that weren't beep. Though I will say, Star Control 2 did an AMAZING job putting the same music out of the PC speaker as the sound blaster, you just could not control the volume on the PC speaker.
My mom got a trash 80 with the built in monitor from work that wasn’t useful that I had.
