This is probably a really, really, bad thing. I don't think you should be able to patent a mechanic like this or... well any. I can build it 100k different ways but because it uses the same general GENERIC idea you own it?
Fuck you man. I own the idea of generating power from light. Now I own anything related to that technology no matter how you define or execute it even if you have to invent entirely new technology to do it.
This shit should be thrown out. Nintendo has been on a hard march to become a patent troll for a long time now, it should be stopped.
