I never could manage to get into it, I beat a bit of content once some of the bugs had been resolved and then immediately a dlc was released b4 I even bothered to finish the original content b/c of bugs early on.

I bought it after the bugs were worked out and I've no problems with that, but WTF with the story!? Too much, I want to shoot shit. From what I hear the story choice don't mean shit anyways.

If you prefer, try Witcher 3. CD Projek Red did a great job, everyone really loves it, and they threw in some really good, free DLC.

Witcher 3 is a freaking masterpiece. Can't believe it's 10 years old now.

I was into it for about 25 hours or so, then just kinda .... stopped and never went back. I don't know, it has some fun moments but never really hooked me.

I've played for 20 hours. Some of the stuff is fun. The last thing I did was raid some place to rescue a dude for Pam (idk, I don't pay much attention to the story). Anyways that was fun, but for whatever reason, I put the game down for months after. Last night I decided to give it a go again. Turns out there is a TON of fucking story BS I have to get through in the aftermath of rescuing this fuck. Game please, I just want to shoot some people, fuck off with this.

I felt the same. I played a few hours because I felt like I had to. It was just an interactive movie with characters I didn't care about.

I know a lot of people liked Witcher 3 but when I went to wander around, the NPCs just stood there and wouldn't interact and to get along with it I was forced to play some card game I had no interest in. I stopped at the card game.

I tried Witcher 1 when the prerelease hype for Witcher 3 was building. I didn't get far. If I remember correctly the combat system wasn't what I expected and I didn't mess with it much. It was one of those steam sale for like 2.99, so I wasn't invested enough to really care.

Tape down the Y key.

Srsly I'm not trying to watch a movie or TV show. I want to shoot some fucks. Why I like Counter Strike I guess, straight to the point.

TheHunter: Call of the Wild.

DLC heavy, but VERY fun hunting game when you get over the learning curve

That does look fun. It would be a good VR game.

My coworkers are into this game... I'm pretty dead to new games tho

[–] 1 pt

I am too. I'm incredibly hard to shop for games because I'm so fucking picky. But TheHunter is legit. When it goes on sale again, get at LEAST the base game to try it. It's really really good. I'm also here to help if you have questions

agreed. too many hours wasted in Hunter.

So true. It takes like 4 hours to get through the intros, scripted events and cutscenes before the game really commences. It's ridiculous. There should be a mod to skip all that. Skyrim has such a mod, and it doesn't even take nearly as long to power through Helgen.

I think there is a mod or new game plus which starts you at the elevator for the first mission. I remember reading about it.

That mod would be helpful for sure. Not just for the beginning, do the whole game!
