Just finished putting together my Game Design Doc, and I am feeling good.

I’ll be starting the first phases of building the engine next. The idea has refined to a pretty straightforward premise:

The monarchy has been restored, long live the King of Mars! Now, it’s time to reclaim what’s ours! Fight through branching campaigns and develop rapport with the various wingmen on your carrier as you take on the unthinking masses of democracy.

Handling and performance are the aim of a 3D dogfighting sim that harkens back to the glory days of 32 and 16-bit gaming, and the storyline bears an eerie resemblance to some event in history you aren’t supposed to talk about.

The game is going to be in C#, and I’m hoping I can make it light and engaging, with solid gameplay, and attractive retro visuals. I hope I can make something to be excited about.

I always thought it would be cool to do some voice acting and could probably make my voice unrecognizable with filters. Would there be much dialog? Although I wouldn't even know how to collaborate on that sort of thing while maintaining anonymity.
