coding is taking longer then i planned to, here's a functional problem i ran into

the old method of the ingame menu was live, barebones, and was only a double-tap ESC method

this new new method is still live, still needs to be barebones, but now needs to cover the options of quit/return to game/volume control.

accounting for various factors, after you hit the escape key, all i have as control input to use is one button (left click), and mouse movement. this is the input i have to somehow assemble into a control scheme. terribly sorry about the delay, i didn't quite anticipate having to invent a whole new design of UI coding.

given that i still have content to show, i'll still give you some screenshots today.

mouselook has to change which menu option, and the one button has to trigger things. it's supposed to be tactile, organic and as barebones as the old method

anything more obtrusive and complex would break from certain design feels, and can't be mapped into an already busy design scheme

v0.4.5 of this is riding through development hell right now.

this minor update turned into medium update where basics, visuals, and gameplay are getting tweaked. not much new content this time though, relatively, thus "medium update"
