That game wasn't even that good, I preferred gran turismo. I had F-zero on SNES when I was a kid. Fun I guess.. but not 40k worth of fun. The 80 bucks it cost wasn't even worth it.
I'd give it a 4.5/10.
He didn't spend 40k. He temporally allocated 40k with zero expected cost beside brokerage fees. It could go up or down in the time he holds it but the expectation is net zero.
The real lesson here is that anyone who allocates that much into a single company is doing so for reasons beyond speculative investment. The greater motivation is "alternative benefit".
