I don't know about the price, you could buy a Switch and a boatload of games you don't have access to for that price. I loved the WiiU, it was my first system when I got back into gaming.

The Switch doesn't have many good games and Cemu (Wii U emulator) is very advanced and should work just fine. Maybe even Ryujinx/Yuzu, who knows.
Even lets you play online with Nintendo servers.
I feel you on the Wii U, it was my most-used console as well. It let you technically run every Nintendo game released before on it, at a fine resolution with no glitches as well. GC titles are so well-supported, with no slowdown or errors, that I wonder why they didn't rerelease titles officially. Analog triggers? You got adapters, or in the worst case, secondary shoulder buttons. They probably wanted to lessen expectations with the Switch and not sell original versions when they had remakes planned…
SteamOS is basically Ubuntu/Debian.

Ah you are right, 1.0-2.0 were Debian based. Steam definitely runs on Debian based systems though.
The only games I’m gonna buy for the rest of my life probably are the grand theft autos or the red dead redemptions aka rockstar games. Or when vr gets really good. I wanna get one of those brown boxing games it be like a work out while you play. Like sitting on a bike while you want videos
Both games are great, being forced to play only them for the rest of my life would be hell.
With the state of the current gaming industry, it's unlikely we'll get another game as good as GTA5 or RDR2.
I wish I was i had had some opportunity to play gta 5 racing for money. I would have won. The only game Iv ever played where I was very obviously better than everyone. Shit I might be the best in the world at it.
VR is already pretty good. I have PSVR and the boxing games will tire you out just fine.

This might be able to emulate a Switch, so you would have Switch games and PC games on 1 device (potentially, we'll have to see how Ryujinx and Yuzu actually runs when this is released).

Factually incorrect, yuzu is a switch emulator that plays most switch games better than the switch. As long as you have the .nsp files you can play it. (And their not even hard to find) The real issue is 64gb internal space. Should easily be triple that. You can buy a 500gb SD card for 45 bucks.
Yeah the small storage capacity on the base one is abysmal imo. Minimum should've been 256GB.
What type of specs we talking to emulate the switch? Price of GPUs is shocking right now.
