I mean, I can kind of get it since Japan has a history of Yōkai stories where ghosts would possess inanimate objects, but this shit is getting out of hand.

Bruh, I know it seems ridiculous but the Japanese have a huge Shinto heritage where they believe spirits are inside inanimate objects.
