It definitely wasn't better than I or anyone thought. Missions all very similar. Boring dialogue. Half finished ideas like base building(no matter how much defense you built into your base if you weren't around during a raid it was a roll of the die if you won or lost). Too many POI's too closely spaced(you couldn't go ten steps without tripping over a new place to explore with tons of good items/junk). I miss crossing the wasteland not knowing if I was going to find food/water along the way or if I was going in the right direction. Combat was way too easy. I played the survival hardest mode, or whatever it was called, and never felt like I was ever going to lose a fight. Too much food and medical supplies.

It had potential, but went the route of being a shooter with rpg elements, instead of an rpg with shooting elements. Maybe it's been updated since I last played it but I already had to wait awhile after its initial release just to get survivor mode.
