That's a neat project.
I'm interesting in VR, but from everything I've read the customer service for the Rift and Vive are both horrible. If something goes wrong with them, good luck.
I can't see spending 400 or more on something that the company does not stand behind if it breaks.

Yeah that’s a big reason I never bought one, I’m more inclined to build my own at least then I’ll know how to fix it.
