I’m thinking of picking up a pre-built PC since this one even with a new SSD is still slow and parts are so hard to find right now or are being price gouged. I can get the same setup prebuilt for almost the same price as building it myself.

I can go with one company that only uses the Nvidia RTX 3080/3090

Or a different one that’s uses the AMD RX 6800 XT/6900

I’ve read both the 3090 and 6900 are more work station cards so I’m not going to spend the extra on those and the 6800 is at most 10% slower then the 6900 and in some tests the 6800 beats it.

I’m leaning towards the 6800, does anyone have real life experience with it instead of just review sites or experience with the 3080?

You want to look into ray tracing and DLSS. If those are important to you, go with the 30xx series. If not, the 6000 series will be fine. 3090 is about 20% Faster for gaming than the 3080, but at $800 more.

The 3080Ti is likely coming out soon, so that's something to consider. The other thing is availability, good luck finding anything anywhere right now.

Yeah everything is out or being price gouged by third party sellers that’s why I mentioned I was going to go prebuilt and was deciding on the company to go with.

At present it’s almost the same price to buy prebuilt vs build your own. I hate using third party sellers.

I needed an alt years ago, couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t give me away and I was stuck trying to create one.

I had just finished watching “summer of sam”(had to look that up, I always think it’s studio 54) and the song was stuck in my head and while being stuck for a name and a song stuck in my head. I finally went with the song stuck in my head.

Enjoy the song in you’re head. I prefer their live version now lol.
