I dont understand the notion of replacing the word "nigger" with "the n word". It's bizarre. That's literally what you do with children with language you dont want them to hear. Speaking a word is in no way the same as using a word intentionally to offend. e.g "Don't call him a nigger" vs "Hey you dirty nigger". There is no logical reason a newsreader should not say "A man was arrested for calling a black officer a nigger". Anyone offended by such a statement is a fucking idiot.
