Doctors aren't magical, they just have specialized knowledge, experience and access to research. Anyone who takes the time to learn the specialized language can figure it out. I was traveling to a 3rd world country and was worried about Zika, so I asked her doctor about it. She pulled out her phone, googled it, and read it to me verbatim.
