Anyone who says they hate math is either an imbecile or someone who clings to their cognitive dissonance. I lost count of how many people I know who claimed to hate math when the 6 million topic came up. In reality they have been demoralized and short circuit when their idiotic world view is challenged. Math doesn't lie.

Math doesn't lie but there is a subset that has people who are questionable. I remember a quote from one of my math instructors.

Or, alternatively, they're part of the 99% of the Human population that don't need anything more complicated than what can be done in Excel. If you're in that bucket, you don't really use math enough to need it, outside what the computer can calculate for you.

More likely it ain't math they hate, it's the suckass versions...algebra, calculus, trig, etc., that 4 in 10 know is a useless 'learn it and forget it' waste of time and effort. It ain't school they hate, it's the 'one size fits all' BS that school curriculum is based on.

So not only is it the minority, but it is less than 4. Study was probably 3.1 parents said they hated it. Fuck this journo.

As a Mold-Maker: every time I build a new tool and the molded components come out dimensionaly, right on the money (based on my calculations for shrinkage rate). I always say out loud "Thank GOD and I love Math"
