My dogs name is Trigger, and he's gun shy. When I target shoot in the backyard, he hides in the tub.
Heh, hunters sometime have issues with his dogs. Although they have experience how to teach dogs to don't be afraid from shooting, some dogs can't learn to 'ignore' Big Bada Boom. People which live in cities or near cities easy can give such dogs to people which love dogs... but people in remote rural areas sometime take the unfortunate dogs for a last walk. Life is bitch.
He's not a hunting dog, he's a fluffy derpy Australian shepherd. And since he stays in the house, I know he's one less thing I have to worry about being downrange, which is good.
I guess that... But when you mention shooting I remember some sad stories. So it's not directly related to your comment.
