Why are people acting like the situation in ukraine is a distraction from covid? The west did everything it could to cripple itself while ukrainian jews were slaughtering civilians in the east. with a crippled west Putin saw the opportunity to save his people and wiped the floor with the ukr zogbots while murican zogbots were still writing bidens scripts. Basically west got caught with its pants down and Russia took advantage of the situation to correct some of the wrongs the west caused.
