No, she would have been killed by her husband soon after he realized his grave error, sad to say but that was how the crazy was kept in check back a few hundred years ago. Though her father also might have put her to death as a teen when her mouth got the better of her.
No she never would have gotten to this abysmal state. She would have been trained to be a wife and mother from day one.

It would have been impossible to reach this sort of state in any other era since being a viable wife/mother was imperative for basic survival. You couldn't just exist as an outcast taking gibs from taxpayers and bullshit HR jobs didn't exist.
