Musk announced that he was going to get rid of bots. Some people have theorized that Twitter itself created bots to follow and like certain accounts. I could easily see twitter getting paid off by some publicists or even Disney themselves to promote certain actors at certain times to help push a movie or their career without the actor or personality even knowing about it. Now that Musk is walking in, Twitter may be canning all of their self made bots. Or maybe some excited employee got the green light to axe a bunch of bots agreed to by his boss in order to look good when Musk walks in the door. Previously all of those bots helped to inflate twitters subscriber numbers.
