CAPTCHA's have existed long before they were monetized by google's data mining algorithms via their acquisition of recaptcha you can blame pakis for this, they are primarily the ones running bots to submit forms and exploit the internet landscape their countries are such shitholes that they have literal data centres to facilitate things like this, robo calls, and SMS scams. ps: I see more companies moving to hcaptcha anyways, recaptcha is slowly dying as far as I can see.
