The problem is that as the culture moves left, and it does, naturally the centrist must move his opinions to the left. A centrist is by definition a spineless unprincipled grifter. In fact the only reason to hold centrist positions at all is because of the profit motive. Otherwise you’d be a normal person like most of us who are watching our reasonable and principled positions rebranded as “alt-right extremism.”
