Not to mention all the useless employees at colleges. They have to get paid somehow... I think I read somewhere that university of Michigan has like 50 employees under the diversity inclusion and equity department where the Head makes upwards of $400k a year. I wonder why tuition has been going up???
Pale in comparison to the scholarships, all the other students are paying more so Biff can chase the dream of becoming a pro-sportsball athlete while majoring in Fuck All studies.
I think that many schools have a big enough sports fanbase that donates money (partially to continue being sportsball fans) that they should be able to account for their sports program out of those donations.
Oh they CAN, but they still pull from tuition depending on the school. UF for example, between boosters, alumni, ticket sales and merchandise, they make more than enough to run the sports programs, but still pull from tuition as well. If a student wants to go to a football game, good luck even affording a ticket, let alone getting ahold of one. That's how expensive the tickets are. Shit some schools give tickets to student for free.
There are more administrators than teachers at universities now. Literal make work programs going on. They're getting away with it. That's the problem. If these werent' funded by the government (whether directly or via guaranteed student loans) they'd have to justify their expenses.
