The only dumb overpriced electronic luxury feature I actually want in my car is the auto tinting rear view mirror.

Also I'm a total asshole and I replaced my cars medieval oil lamp tier incandescents with full blown LEDs. The high beams are like the search light on a police helicopter now. The deer don't freeze, they melt!

Definitely an asshole.

In my defense the 20 year old stock lights were near useless, I replaced the entire assemblies and the car is very low, so it's not like when those guys put them on a lifted truck and drive around with the lights shinning directly into your cabin on the highway (unless you drive a stanced go-kart) or when kids change out their bulbs for $20 and spew bright, unfocused light eveywhere. The highs are for the heavily wooded and pot hole riddled twisties crawling with deer around here and I'm alert/engaged at the wheel and toggle off the Retina Ender 9000s when traffic is coming in the opposite direction (usually before they even round the corner).

If you actually changed the whole light assembly to an LED assembly, then you are likely less of an asshole. LED bulbs in an old fixture are always asshole filled.

From someone who got the auto tinting rear mirror as a feature before auto side tint became a thing..... You want that too

I have one, it sucks. Doesn't react fast enough, doesn't tint enough, and can't go manual.

Good idea, poor execution. I want dimming on my side mirrors myself.

Oh, I had one in my last car, in this car and in the wife's car. They have all been fine, I forget I even have them because they work so well, when I notice blinding headlights it's usually the drivers side mirror or I turned off the auto-dim by accident messing with the neighboring map light button or something.
