I really want an app on my phone that will scan asian characters and return the dumbest things. It doesn't even need to actually read the characters. Just to fuck with people with these tattoos.
It would be cool if it did read the characters, hashed them, and then used a lookup table so doing it multiple times would give you the same result each time. See, turkey sandwich.

But then lock in any results it's already given, so that next time you scan the same person it gives the same result... Ideally a net work so that different devices will also give the same result... But only for the same tattoo- since we know slight variation on Chinese characters can mean different things, two idiots may have the "same" Chinese characters, but can still get different translations, for maximum lolz.
A hash would do that. It returns a random integer based on what is fed into it. Feed the same characters you get the same number. If you have 200 possible results you just divide the number it returns by 200 and take the remander. That tells you what position in the list to use. Every phone would then produce the same result every time.
