If they were holocausted, it would be a first in history. Unless you count when jews poisoned the wells, aka the black plague.

Holocaust is an ancient Greek word. It means, "whole burnt offering." It is a religious offering.

Holocaust was extremely common.

People have posted dictionaries from the 1950's and 60's that don't include the word holocaust. Not saying the word didn't exist, just that it didn't appear in the dictionary until the 1970's.

Holocaust as a word has existed for thousands of years. It did not, however, exist as a historical event until a Jew bought an encyclopedia company. The word itself is of ancient Greek origin. It means, "whole burnt offering." The word does appear in the bible. It has been in common use for at least two thousand years. But again, not as a significant historical event.
