She votes. This is actually very common. One of my coworkers (has bachelors of science degree) could not tell me what a verb was... I was laughing cause I thought she was joking but then she got kinda pissed.... Bachelor's degree. 4 years of college.

I worked with a college girl that confidently stated that her professor told her that the human body loses 7 grams upon death. (the soul). I laughed and told her that was an urban legend. She was HIGHLY offended and said to me " what do you know? Youre not in college".

There was a movie about that concept with Benicio del Toro.

I remember. If her professor told her he had magic cum she would have gobbled it

I used to work with a PhD chick (she did flow cytometry) and I had to do her dilutions for her. It's basically the same level of math as this mph problem. She had no self esteem and would get freaked out when she had to do anything.

Eh judging a persons entire intelligence on a single gap in their knowledge, particularly trivia that isnt particularly useful, is a bit disingenuous is it not? I just have the phrase 'verb is a doing word' that i remember a teacher saying at some point in my childhood, thats the only reason i remember that and i have not once needed to remember that at any point in my life. It is good to be taught it as it helps you understand the mechanics of your language, and knowing that probably has helped indirectly in other aspects of my life, but i wouldnt put someone down too hard for that one single gap.
