The book is terribly written. I was actually taken aback when I first read it after hearing about its greatness for decades. As a piece of literature that tends to be judged or even admired for its standard of craft and expertise in the written word and its many constructive forms, it is shockingly bad. BUT the depth and flavour of the universe created by Herbert is superb. Yet, that doesn't make a compelling novel. Guys with expansively great ideas in genres such as fantasy and sci-fi tend not to be too concerned with writing beautiful literature. I don't know if its laziness or apathy or whether they're just so overwhelmed with wanting to splurge their imagined worlds onto the page, but they don't do their breathtaking imaginations any justice by expressing their imagined worlds in some of the most strangely limited ways possible.
Denis Villeneuve is a globalist cuck. A cowardly one at that. He makes beautiful looking films that like to pretend they have some semblance of a soul. He's one of their tools.
