The kid is technically going to school at home. Different subject but I know most people have them but not everyone owns a computer. Where did the kids that didn't have one get it?

Yep, literally 20 years ago. Funnily enough, it was only the "alternative" high school (the "bad kids" school) who got them. Rewarded for bad behavior with easy breezy schooling and a laptop.
At the local school here, they offer paper booklets if one doesn't have a computer.
What do you call it when your kid sits at home and watches videos all day? Honest question. I'm not understanding the philosophical nature of this question.
