As far as I know you are correct, they are closer to raccoons. Who said anything about a bear?

pandas are a bear by literal definition, so saying "Dindu Panda" vs "Dindu Red Panda" you are slandering pandas.

pandas are a bear by literal definition

No, they literally are not. I'm not sure why you're trying to die on this 'bear' hill over a post in s/funny but it's your funeral.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_panda

The red panda is the only living member of the genus Ailurus and the family Ailuridae. It has previously been placed in the raccoon and bear families, but the results of phylogenetic analysis provide strong support for its taxonomic classification in its own family, Ailuridae, which is part of the superfamily Musteloidea, along with the weasel, raccoon and skunk families.[5]

you proved my point but at the same time i had no idea red pandas actually had their own sub group. red pandas are different from normal pandas, hence what i meant b4. black and white pandas, chinas pride is a literal bear it will not be associated with skunks racoons weasels, etc. thats what i meant. a red panda isnt a real panda

Why is it ok to slander red pandas but not panda pandas?
