Yep they used to have pretty good writers but I think they jumped ship and then the onion was bought out for politics because they had a massive following with millions of views. It was one of the DNC's "pokemon go to the polls" level cringe attempts to get people on their side. You see the same sellout bait and switch all the time to varying degrees. Their other favorite tactic is a slightly different bait and switch with a good example being the show "Adam ruins everything" there was plenty of practical truth in the first season but you can tell that they just wanted to build up a rapport and then lay on the political bias thick afterwards when people started to think of them as being an arbiter of truth. Commies love to lure you in with half truths.
