I know it's a metaphor, but it's a bad one. The attributes of Freya and teh Valkyries are not what you want in a wife. Freya is not loyal, dismissive of men, furious, mercurial, and cheats on her man.
So if a man is looking for a wife, these are not attributes he wants her to have. Even metaphorically. And that was my point.

Yeah, those are fair points. I was more thinking about the wit and intelligence side rather than her other aspects. Didn't think to add that, to be honest. As I said, my husband's heritage is Norse so it's something that resonates with me by virtue of that. He's not someone that anyone would dare fuck with, lest he turn them to bloody mist. True Old Norse spirit right there.
Either way, one's woman should be witty and intelligent and be fully willing to defend her family even until her dying breath if necessary. It's something I strive to do every single day of my life. So many females these days will fuck off at the first sign of hardship and I find that disgusting.
