If you look on the underside abdomen of a tick there is a small opening which is his trachea through which he breathes when feeding. A blop of any ointment (or axle grease, lotion, whatever goo you have) over the trachea will stop his breathing and cause the tick to withdraw its (((probiscus))) voluntarily. Then there is no fuss about whether tick parts are left behind beneath your skin.

Alternatively, if you lift up their back legs you will see their nuts. Now just grab a hold of them and squeeze. Works every time.

i tested positive for lyme disease, 2 months ago.
medical websites say use tweezers. don't put chemicals on the tick. the tick could regurgitate toxins.
if a tick bites you, make an appt. with a dr. from what i read, the risk is low from a tick bite. but tick infections are easier to treat, soon after a bite.
