I don't like this technique, easy to fuck up, and you'll end up with part of the ticks head left behind.

Grabbing and twisting works better imho, and since i've had dogs since forever, i have a few on me at all times, looks like a toothpick that ends in two prongs, slightly bent.

The prongs go on either side of the ticks head, as close to the skin as possible, then you twist, and the whole tick releases. Easy removal, tool fits in my wallet.

I've heard soaking in soapy water works too, but never tried it. Ticks are nasty, and if you're retarded and pull on their body, they'll vomit.

I've heard nail polish will make them release after a bit. After a day out in the woods, I discovered one on my nuts.

I tried a few things...

Did the nail Polish work?

It sure did. As soon as his boyfriend saw his painted nails, he proposed.

I don't know. Supposedly you're supposed to let it set for a little while. I couldn't wait that long.

With cats you can actually just toss them into a bonfire and it will remove the ticks aftwr 20-30 minutes the cats might struggle though so you’ll want to tape their legs together

How bad is the infection if they "vomit" under your skin?

People say your chances of getting lyme disease skyrockets, but I don't know.

I've used the crescent part of a nail file attached to a trimmer to the same end. I was successful but I've only done it the one time.
