Raised horses growing up. They have crazy good memories. If you move things around even in an indoor riding arena they can get very nervous and skittish. In the wild the only reason something would move in their mind is if a large predator was in the area. A rainbow out of no where will cause that kind of instinctive reaction because they identify it as a potential threat.
