A crazy man trying to stab the demons away on the train is also "trying," but is he doing anyone any actual good or is he just crazy, and harming people for reasons that are based on delusions? I know that it's easier to just go along with the big pretension that the facades government creates aren't facades, but true representations. But if you join the armed forces of the USA you are either stupid or desperate. It's not the act of a smart man with choices.
