I know, and it's annoying as hell. I want to get a non-programmable basic bitch mechanical for work, because it's a really locked down environment, and last I looked couldn't find any. So I'm stuck with the OEM Dell membrane keys.

Ducky if you want to pay a bit more. Or find a used steelseries 6gv2, I use one, very no-frills, no lights or macro buttons, well built, cherry black switches. They're under $50 used.

I was in a similar situation when I was still in the office. They were uptight about bringing stuff from home so I had to get something that blended in. But I was sick of going to work and using a shitty membrane keyboard. I got a ikbc 108 series. A couple years ago it was one of the cheapest mechanical keyboards on the market that used genuine MX cherry switches. ~$60. I got browns for more stealth. It's just a solid normal looking keyboard that served me well in the office. Now that I'm full time WFH I use it as a backup.

You don't even want one that you can turn off? You can always buy a used Ducky or Das Keyboard.
