The ones like the older men looking around are obviously trying to ignore his foolish ignorance and don't want to laugh or call him out. A decade ago everyone would be asking why he is such an ignorant fool and he should quit his position and become a person that picks up garbage off the ground in a park or get a dish washing job which he might lose because of his mouth and brain.
