Or, on the last job, some idiot hit a loose chunk of asphalt. They tried to sue because the cone wasn't directly on top of the loose asphalt.

City/county decided that it's cheaper to cover the entire road with cones than to fight idiots in court.

I didn't even know there were that many safety cones in the whole world.

During the day those cones will be used to shut lanes down, when they are not used they get pushed to the curb. That being said, there's about twice as many as neccessary. With THAT being said, people drive like fucking retards and you want as many cones as you can.

and Wally's getting a fat check. Hell I say that thought Dilbert and Wally is now gunning for management with his following the rules to the letter that the state set out for cone placement. While others would just drop a couple hundred cones, Wally doesn't fuck around, he put every cone that was required by low down and did that shit with his mind set on total quality. Yeah like a fucking boss headed for management with his cone placement as his new careers foundation.

You know decades from now the story of Wally will be told by laborers after work drinking beers. Yeah that Wally is a legend and we must not forget Wally is the type of guy that made America what it is today with cones.
