I said there are older age groups for which the fatality rate is 20 - 30%. That chart doesn’t contradict that at all there is a sampling point that shows 25% fatality rate for.80 year olds. The point is that 7 or 8% is not wildly skewed— it is well within the CI range for this regression for people about 75 or 80, and most of the samples for people > 80 are well over that: 10 to 25% fatality rates. The entire thread from my response to vastrightwing is about older americans’ risk and the disgusting way that I think many so called conservative people are dismissing and minimizing their deaths. As I said from the start, we all fucking know the disease is not a risk to younger people and a minimal risk to middle aged people.
