How does one "help people" with a sociology degree? I can't think of a legitimate reason to have that degree.
Most counseling fields require a human sciences related degree, odd that you can't put the two together.
Edit: psychology is a study of an individual behaviour, whereas sociology is a study of a group behaviour and since humans tend to live in groups they generally tend to exhibit behaviour reflective of the group they live in.
TLDR: Individuals act different when they're a part of a group, see: group psychosis.
I would have thought that was doing psychology, not sociology.
Idk if post edits pop up, but I edited my answer to be less mean, sorry I'm drinking.
I started a thread a few days ago about how anticommunists, supposedly necessarily invested in defending and advancing class interests, cant even grasp Class as a concept. There were like 4 replies, all retards who just goodgoy trigger vented at the word communist.
If they studied sociology they would not be such retards about it and it is the key to addressing problems in society.
I always found sociology boring as batshit, but then again, I find the humanities in general boring as batshit.
