Pushing out a baby is no fucking walk in the park, and a lot of little hidden factors can play into how active labor goes down. Most of that stuff is out of the woman’s direct control. (Anybody want me to post my birth story?)

That being said, there’s quite a bit you can control in terms of how you fare during pregnancy, and how you recover from it afterwards. And I’m pretty sure a lot of the conditions that they tell you “can happen to anybody” are very dependent upon nutrition, eating habits, and exercise.

Women say giving birth is more painful than a man getting kicked in the balls, but I don't know any man that ever wanted to get kicked in the balls more than once.

This is a myth because so far as I can tell...not a single woman has ever been kicked in the balls...so how the hell would they know?

Haven't you been following Idiot World? ...women know everything.

I feel like getting kicked in the balls might be worse immediate pain but you don’t spend hours getting kicked in the balls

I think the female brain is literally wired to forget the pain.

I had a terrible labor with my first, but I cannot remember what it felt like. I have other memories where I can recall the pain. Not this. It hurt like hell but I don’t remember it.

You might be on to something here. ...Why else would a good woman put up with spousal abuse?

(I don't mean to sound like I'm pandering to you, but, hello?.) <--fuck this guy. I'll break his jaw too.

Having a baby is a natural biological function. It's like taking a shit. Nature made it so that it's not painful. It has no reason to make the process painful--just the opposite as it wants women to have kids, and more than one. Sure, once in a while you get constipated and it hurts like hell coming out, but overall it's a pretty pleasant experience.

Labor is very painful and pregnancy can be super uncomfortable. I am pregnant with #3 and am headed into the third trimester during the Texas summer.

My labors were 44 and 36 hours and I took no pain meds. There was no poop that could compare to that. It was very painful. But a beautiful baby at the end of it makes it worth it.

Yeah I don’t know why people believe this.

The pressure at the very end is quite similar to pooping. But the experience is not at all the same. I mean, let’s just examine the difference between what’s being pushed out; a soft substance that can conform exactly to the contours of the final exit location, verses a 6-10 pound body of hard bone and organs that has to be kept perfectly intact and alive through the entire process. Yes, a baby’s skull can shift a little bit, but only a little bit. And it takes your body nine fucking months of serious hormones to soften your pelvis enough to make this possible.

Not comparable at all.

When was the last time you shit out something that was 10cm wide?
