I shot a dove with a BB gun when I was a kid. Just lookin for Something to shoot in the suburbs. Anyways, as soon as the little bb made contact I regretted it. The dove was bouncing around on the ground. I ran over and picked it up. It was making those noises and looking at me. A single trickle of blood was running down its chest. I held it for a while it just stared at me then it went limp. The worst part was doves have partners, for a while aftwr that maybe a month it’s partner came back to the same spot looking for it. Everyday. That was the last time I shot any animal for no reason. I felt so bad.
